Day one and fun has just begun ...

Thursday 22nd July,

Got organised and sent e-mails, checked bank account … Internt is freely availabel in Viet Nam wherever you go. Hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, you name it ... they got it.
Another last minute donation, now all twelve Hope School children have got an individual sponsor for another year.
To communicate, I organised a 'Mobiphone' SIM Card. $ 5 including lots of credit. We then rang Hoa / Peter from House of Grace orphanage to make an appointment. 3 pm Friday, and the taxi will take 20 – 30 minutes Peter said.
Rang Bob and Hien, our friends. Bob in American, Hien is Vietnamese. Both run various businesses and are heavyly involved in charity.
Then off to the bank. 'Which bank???' Commenwealth, of course, to finalise account details. All's well.
Taxi costs: Commonwealth bank … 30.000 VND ~ $2 on the way back 24.000 VND ~ $1.6 for a 10 minute taxi ride.

Lunch at SOZO’s, then SIESTA, we have to get used to the heat. Bob came to hotel, we had a good chin wag, then we decided to go and meet Hien at the office not far away.

We talked until the cows came home and it was dark and rainy. Went for dinner with our friends at 8 pm.

It was a long day, we both were pretty tired. I woke up at 11:20 people talking outside our door.It went on for quite some time, I got suspicious, got up and opened the door. What I saw took me completely by surprise, there was a Dutch woman sitting on the floor in front of our door lap top open and SKYPING!!! She left quick smart ... after she saw and heard me!!!

Peace and quiet at last!!!
