Wednesday Wednesday, so good to me ….
Dear Diary
After a stressful day yesterday we started with a call to the printer. The calendars can now not be printed … He quoted:
”If you bring such a big quantity of prints with Vietnam poor and hard life images through the airport, you might get into trouble with the airport custom/police and they will also find the printer in charge to fine/investigate. So to be safe for everyone he thinks he can only help you with 5-7 copies and a CD if you need.”
That is the end of this project, as we can not afford to print calendars in AUS. Printing and binding will cost us $ 15. Top sale price is $ 20 – margin is to low to really make a profit for our charity.
We told you about our parcel, Matt signed a declaration today … and Hung, one of the Hien’s employees will go with us to pick it up on Friday morning. Mind you we have to pay storage for every day….
Had a fruitful meeting with Hien this morning. Meet with Tam any minute … and then we will go and visit the Peace Orphanage again.
Receive an e-mail about our trip tomorrow – Father Huong has got a funeral in the morning, so we start an hour later. Dep. is 9am.
